~~UPDATE: We will have childcare available for this event~~
On Sunday, September 1 at 4:00 PM, we'll be holding a screening of the film, "Freedom For Birth."
We'll be welcoming adults to come and view the film, which is a video from the 'One World Birth' organization about birth as a human rights issue. The film is one hour long and features information about the suppression of midwifery care, especially the story of Agnes Gereb.
We'll have a sheet with some resources on how you can take action after we watch the film.
Get excited for the rally! The Rally for Improving Birth will be taking place in cities all around the world. We will be attending the event in Syracuse on Monday, Sept. 2. While this film event is not affiliated with the improving birth rally, we will have a time for making posters for those who will be attending on Monday.
I'm going to post soon about whether children will be welcome (I need to see if we will be able to have childcare available). Breastfed babies may attend, but we ask that you please step out if they become fussy.
There is no charge for this event. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or message our facebook page at www.facebook.com/birthpeptalk
Light refreshments will be provided.
